In 2017, Castle Rock launched a new range of beers. As a widely respected, traditional brewery, the 2.0 range was designed to push the boundaries. Through trial and error, experimentation and creativity, these craft beers disregarded many of the rules that Castle Rock were so used to following.
The brief: create simple, modern and colourful branding
Their first creation, Session IPA, quickly became one of the brewery's biggest sellers, and the beer - originally supposed to be a one-off - became permanently available. It was also Castle Rock's first canned beer.
Over the next year, the brewery's craft beers became increasingly popular.
The name of this particular beer was changed to "Session", while the 2.0 banner was dropped and the beers brought under Castle Rock's umbrella brand.
